SCULPT A CIRCUS Sally Davis
February 11 - March 4 | Thursdays | 3:30 - 4:30PM | $150
Join the director of Circus Holus Bolus, Sally Davis in creating a magical miniature world under the Big Top. Inspired by Alexander Calder’s whimsical circus, students will build their own fantastic circus characters, using clay, wire, fabric, beads, paint, and more. The workshop will culminate in a fun, three ring installation to share with parent and friends along with jolly music and popcorn. Ages 7+
WINTER LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY Glenn Randall VISITING ARTIST
February 12 - 14 | Friday - Sunday | $325
This course will help beginning and intermediate photographers take the next step upward in their artistic development through in-depth study of the craft and art of landscape photography. The class will enjoy two sunrise and one sunset shoot at prime locations near Telluride. Both film and digital photographers are welcome, but film shooters should be aware that they will not be able to get film processed in Telluride in time to see it during the workshop.
BEGINNER BLACKSMITHING Jon Hubbard
February 19 & 20 | Friday & Saturday | 10AM - 4PM | $355
Students will learn all of the basics to create a small piece of furniture or sculpture - functional or non-functional. During these two days we will cover MIG welding, heating with oxy acetylene, explore different power hammer techniques, and basic hand forging skills. We will also cover working with steel cold - bending, forming and riveting.
