Ah Haa's 16th Annual Art Auction

Ah Haa's annual fundraiser is a don’t-miss summer event known for an amazing array of art objects, trips and services in the silent auction, complimented with equally fantastic art, trips and funky theme-inspired items in the fast-paced live auction. With over 200 unique items, this year's theme, "Passport to India," is sure to be a showstopper. Come dressed in brightly colored garb, wear your bindis or bangles and get ready for a grand time! Monies raised from our annual auction support the Ah Haa School’s educational program costs including scholarships,
supplies and equipment, instructors, visiting artists and more.
To bid on live or silent auction pieces, you must register for a paddle and obtain a bidding number. Paddles are available for advance purchase for $20 at the Ah Haa School beginning Wednesday, July 23, or at the door on the night of.
ABOUT THE LIVE AUCTION: This year's live auction will begin at 7:30 p.m. sharp. To bid on an item, raise your paddle so the auctioneer or spotter can see you. The highest bid acknowledged by the auctioneer will be contractually binding a bidder. A bid runner will bring an invoice to the winning bidder to use when paying for and retrieving the item. Not going to be in town for Ah Haa’s Annual Art Auction? Absentee bids will be accepted for all live auction items. Absentee Bids for live auction items

to the Ah Haa School at 300 S. Townsend Avenue.
ABOUT THE SILENT AUCTION: Silent auction bidding begins at 5 p.m. and closes 30 minutes after the live auction ends. You bid on a piece by writing your paddle number on the corresponding form. VOLUNTEERS: Support your community art center! We need volunteers to help the week prior to, the night of and day after the auction. Volunteers will receive a free Ah Haa class (not to exceed $150) for an eight-hour shift, free admission to the auction, and invitation to our volunteer breakfast. Less than hours will receive $10 hour workstudy credit to be applied to an Ah Haa class plus admission to the auction and volunteer breakfast invitation. PAYENT INFORMATION: The highest bidder for each item will be responsible for payment on the day of the auction. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card (American Express, Mastercard or Visa).
All sales of tangible goods are subject to the collection of an 8.4% combined sales tax for the State of Colorado, San Miguel County and the Town of Telluride. Proof of shipping out-of-state is required for a non-taxable transaction. The shipping company will provide this to the purchaser upon payment of shipping services.
The Ah Haa School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The amount paid over the value of the item may be deductible as a charitable contribution. Consult your tax advisor for more information. An acknowledgement letter stating the estimate value of the purchased piece and the amount paid will be sent to the purchaser.
PLEASE NOTE: All items must be paid for on the day of the auction at the cashier’s table located at the entrance to the tent. All purchases are final and must be removed from the premises by the day following the auction. The Ah Haa School does not appraise artwork. Any value is designated by the artist(s) and/or contributing party and is not in any way substantiated by the Ah Haa School.
