    JULY ART AUCTION

28th Annual Art Auction

A Benefit for the Programs of the Ah Haa School

NEW for 2020:

Online Silent Auction begins Thursday, July 2nd  |  Live Finale – July 17th at 7:30pm

For over 25 years, Ah Haa’s annual fundraiser has been the must-attend summer event and this year we’ll be going ONLINE! Art lovers and community members support the Ah Haa School by bidding on a wide range of work created by artists from near and far. In addition, a myriad of services, goods and excursions donated by the region’s businesses are auctioned in live and silent auctions. Many of the pieces on the auction block have been specifically made for the event by the community’s talented artists.

Thank you to our art auction supporters: artists, donors, staff, board, trustees, volunteers and students! A special thank you to our title sponsors, Slate Gray Gallery & Alpine Bank.

If you’d like to donate to our silent auction, please complete our online form. Thank you!

2020 Featured Auction Items:

“Himalaya Face”| Kane Scheidegger | Photograph on Canvas |

An incredible view of Ophir’s upper waterfall canyon, looking at the Himalaya Face on the northeast side of Yellow Mountain. This route was never before skied until May 2019, after incredible winter snow accumulations made conditions perfect. This photo, taken May 24, 2019, captures Devin Overton’s now-or-never decision to launch a first descent of this intimidating face. After a quick break to catch his breath, Devin rode this rollercoaster line, airing out the bottom cliff with some hollars that echoed through the basin. 58″ x 30″

“White” | Michael Phelan | 60″ x 60″ Acrylic on Canvas |

Michael Phelan’s paintings reflect the deep spiritual forces that connect and enlighten all people. This piece, “White,” embodies this connection on a deeper level: the painting was created by the Telluride community as a whole, as any and all viewers were invited to add their own mark to the under-layer of the painting. The bright colors and textures that peek through Phelan’s finished piece represent a diverse community, enveloped within the artist’s uniting brushstrokes. 60″ x 60″
