ALL ABOUT EGYPT
Monday – Thursday | 9:30am – 12:30pm | $245
July 29 – August 1, 2019
The artifacts found in King Tut’s tomb tell us about how people lived in ancient Egypt, preserving their way of life for near eternity. In this class, students will learn about life in ancient Egypt as they create their own written artifacts about their lives and seal them away in hand-built ceramic mummy boxes. As time allows, students will also create Egyptian-style amulets (good luck charms) and their own cartouche – clay slabs with imprinted with hieroglyphics.
Please note: All pieces must be fired in the kiln, so pottery will not be available for pickup until approximately 7-10 days after class ends. Fired pieces can be packaged and shipped for an additional charge.
