Calling all backyard bird enthusiasts! Join us for a casual stroll around Telluride as we look for and learn about the birds of SW Colorado. We’ll learn the basics of bird identification, from the best places and times to see them to how to use a pair of binoculars and a field guide. Whether you’re an expert birder or an enthusiastic novice, this class is fun for anyone with an appreciation for our feathered friends.
Students should bring a pair of binoculars (these can be checked out from the Wilkinson Public Library if needed on a first come, first served basis), walking shoes, water, sunscreen.
Students will meet at the Ah Haa School and then walk as a group from the school.
