Originating in the Far East around 2,000 years ago, kombucha is known as the “immortal health elixir” by the Chinese – it is said to have tremendous health benefits for your heart, your brain and (especially) your gut. It also tastes great! In this delicious class, Jacey DePriest will explain the simple process of brewing your own kombucha through a live demonstration. Students will sample a variety of different kombucha recipes and learn how to add flavors and create blends. Each student will leave with their own “scoby” and starter kit for brewing their own kombucha at home.
