INTRO TO METALSMITHING

This entry-level class will cover a wide range of fundamental jewelry-making techniques for developing a solid foundation for future projects. Topics will include safety in the jewelry studio and proper use of a variety of equipment, including hand tools, soldering torches, flexshafts, hammers, polishing devices, jewelers’ saws, files, pliers, doming blocks, and more. Students will learn how to cut, solder, saw, pierce, dome, texture, drill, etc. With instructor guidance, all students are encouraged to find their own voice in their creative process.
