The Art of Haiku
Monday – Tuesday | 6:00 – 8:00pm | $100
June 22 – 23, 2020
Haiku poems may have originated in 1600s Japan, but they remain widely read and remarkably pertinent to contemporary life everywhere. In this class, students will dive deep into the history and various forms of both traditional and contemporary haiku before being guided through the process of writing their own. All will come away with a true understanding and appreciation of haiku, as well as a batch of their own finely tuned poems.
Students are encouraged to bring snacks to class or eat something ahead of time.
