Merit Scholarships

Telluride Painting School Merit Scholarships

The Telluride Painting School offers students intensive technical instruction in painting and drawing while emphasizing the development and expansion of each participants’ unique creative expression. Each season, the Telluride Painting School offers three two-week long sessions of advanced instruction by established, professional visiting artists.

For the 2017 TPS season, up to 12 Merit Scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional levels of skill, conceptual capabilities and commitment to their craft, in addition to proven financial need. Prospective TPS Merit Scholarship students may apply for full tuition funding for one two-week Telluride Painting School session.

Merit Scholarship applicants will be considered and awarded by a Scholarship Board in cooperation with the Director of the Telluride Painting School.

There are three steps to apply for a Merit Scholarship:

  1. Complete and submit the online Merit Scholarship Application.
  2. Send us 10 high-resolution digital images showcasing your work (send to kris@ahhaa.org).
  3. Send us page one of your most recent tax return (send to kris@ahhaa.org).

The application deadline for fall 2017 is past. Applicants will be notified by July 1 as to the status of their application.
