Beyond the Landscape: The Essence of Telluride

The Ah Haa School for the Arts  for the Arts is excited to announce its third annual juried Photography Prize. Participating photographers may be local residents, visitors, kids, students, amateurs and professionals alike. This competition leaves room for many interpretations be it landscape, portraiture or still life. Work should evoke the feeling of Telluride, regardless of subject. Selected work will be chosen based on originality and quality. Selected work will be chosen based on originality, quality of image, composition and relevance to capturing the essence of Telluride.

Entry Criteria & Application Process:

  • The entry fee is $25 for the first image, $10 for each additional image. You may pay online or by calling (970)728-3886 with your credit card information. Photographers may submit up to 5 images. There is no entry fee for photographers 18 and under!
  • Photographs may be black & white or color.
  • Photographs must have been taken within the last 2 years.
  • For initial judging, entries must be digital and submitted in JPG format, scaled to under 1MB. If your image is selected for the show, larger files will be requested, from which large format prints will be made.
  • Each photograph must have an accompanying text of up to 150 words describing the story behind the photo. Photographers should also submit a brief biography.
  • Judging criteria will include originality, quality of image, composition and relevance to capturing the essence of Telluride.
  • Please complete our online entry form and submit images by July 30.
