Fridays | May 3, 10 & 17 | 3:30-5:30pm | $85 (ages 6-10)
During this unique, three-week art class, our subject will be the immediate world around us – the landscape, mountains, river and animals. Through both indoor and outdoor activities and hands-on experimentation with familiar and unfamiliar materials, we will begin to explore our environment and learn ways to express our relationship to it. Each week will present a new medium – painting, ceramics and mixed media – and the opportunity to explore our sense of place through specific projects. At the same time, students will be introduced to and broaden their understanding of a variety of art concepts, including color, line, form and spatial relationships. On the final day, May 17, parents, guests and friends of the young artists will be invited to a closing presentation of their projects.
Financial Aid is available. Call 728-3886 or email info@ahhaa.org to register.
