Jodi Pounds

Jodi Pounds, originally from Boulder, relocated to Telluride from Berkeley, Calif., where she managed intellectual property for the University of California at Berkeley. With an interest in bioethics, her academic and professional work has focused on the intersection of leading-edge science and technology, law and humanities. She has a B.A. in Philosophy from Colorado College and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota.  “I see art and science as important avenues for understanding, inspiration, awe and creative expression.  Tapping into those sources is key to confronting and solving challenges on a global scale and also to living life to the fullest on the personal scale. So, shifting my focus from science to art feels very fluid.”

Lauren Metzger

After graduating from Parsons School of Design in NYC, Lauren moved to Telluride CO to escape mass transit and pursue the life of a small town. She found instead she pursued a career in, gasp, her major, Communication Design. Working for a local design firm, Mkreativ who’s clients included the Conference Center, Telski and several local businesses, Lauren learned the in’s and out’s of Telluride. Thinking she was still a city girl, Lauren moved to Chicago where she spent seven years working as a freelancer for city design firms and custom publishers until she finally realized she was a mountain girl and missing Telluride’s beauty and community. After packing up her car and breathing in the cool, clean mountain air, she is happy to say that she has found her home at the Ah Haa. Working for an organization she believes in that nurtures her creative spirit; helping others nurture theirs.

Kathleen Cole

Kathleen was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Colorado State University and holds a B.S. in Natural Resource Recreation & Tourism. She has worked festivals and events for the Telluride Jazz Celebration, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the Telluride Mountain Village Sunset Concert Series, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Telluride Blues & Brews Festival for the past eight years. Kathleen enjoys working all events and is excited to be a part of the Ah Haa after assisting with the 17th Annual Ah Haa Art Auction. She moved to Telluride in the summer of 2002 and enjoys attending concerts, festivals, and being outdoors.

Kate Laird

Kate was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She moved to Colorado in 2004 to attend the University of Colorado and fell in love with the state. After graduating in December 2008, she moved to Telluride to enjoy skiing and the joys of living in a small town. After living in Telluride for three wonderful years she has found her perfect space working for the Ah Haa.
