Executive Director
Rachel Lee
.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) | 970.728.3886After spending most of her life in Maine, Rachel ventured to Boston to attend Northeastern University where she majored in marketing communications. After graduating, Rachel worked at the Four Seasons Hotel in their management training program. Although she had a love/hate relationship with city life, Rachel yearned for the simplicity of the mountains and small town life and came to Telluride in 1997 for a two-week visit and has been here ever since! Rachel’s love for the Ah Haa School and the inspiration it provides the community lead her to accept the position of Executive Director in 2009. When not at Ah Haa you can find her road biking, hiking, running, enjoying time with her husband and volunteering with other non-profit organizations within Telluride.

She found instead she pursued a career in, gasp, her major, Communication Design. Working for a local design firm, Mkreativ who’s clients included the Conference Center, Telski and several local businesses, Lauren learned the in’s and out’s of Telluride. Thinking she was still a city girl, Lauren moved to Chicago where she spent seven years working as a freelancer for city design firms and custom publishers until she finally realized she was a mountain girl and missing Telluride’s beauty and community. After packing up her car and breathing in the cool, clean mountain air, she is happy to say that she has found her home at the Ah Haa. Working for an organization she believes in that nurtures her creative spirit; helping others nurture theirs.
