The Ah Haa School for the Arts is a community center of learning and culture that offers a wide variety of programs and seeks to inspire individuals of all ages to explore, develop and celebrate their creativity.
2012 New Year’s Eve Gala
Fun was had at the third annual Ah Haa School New Year’s Eve Gala. An extraordinary evening of fine art and fine wine. The evening began with a champagne reception followed by a four-course plated dinner by Chef Eliza Gavin of 221 South Oak with entertainment by the Mike Pale Jazz Trio. The beautiful artwork of Judy Haas graced the Daniel Tucker Gallery walls setting the tone for the elegant evening. Guest Sommelier Chris Ryerson orchestrated a successful and very popular silent wine auction.
2011 Youth Art Awards
This year we had a record submission of over 105 students from Telluride, Norwood and Nucla. The judges had a tough job!
2012 Bravo | 2nd Annual Bra Invitational
As part of Ah Haa School’s Art of Being a Woman Month, this live and silent auction features community designed bras. These amazing creations are modeled by community gentlemen and help raise awareness for breast cancer. A majority of the proceeds go to the San Miguel Resource Center, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Crisis Center and the national Breast Cancer Fund.

The ceramics ladies of the Ah Haa got together to do a raku firing on a beautiful day in Telluride.
2011 BRAvo | 1st Annual Community Bra Invitational
2010 was our 1st Annual BRAvo Auction that was in conjunction with The Art of Being a Woman Month that featured community designed bras modeled by local firefighters, policeman and service club gentlemen in a live auction. Partial proceeds went to benefit the San Miguel Resource Center.
My Funny Valentine | Family Day
My Funny Valentine family day is a workshop where you can bring your family and work together to create original gifts for your loved ones!
Encaustics Hot Wax/Cold Wax Workshop
These visiting artists came during a wonderful weekend in October to teach an Encaustics workshop at the Ah Haa School.
2010 Youth Art Awards
Every year the Ah Haa School for the Arts awards honor regional middle and high school students for their creativity and interest in the arts. Applicants are selected on originality and strength of the work submitted. All entries are showcased in the Young Artists Exhibition at the Ah Haa School.
Baked in Telluride Mural Project
During a No School Art Day at the Ah Haa instructor Sue Gustafson helped welcome back Baked in Telluride by decorating the walkway with children’s art in front of the construction site.
