Join Lynn Whipple in this magical 2-day experience (you can take one or two days) to learn great ways to glue, age, paint, design, alter found images and add drawing to collage. Lynn’s uniquely whimsical and joyful approach to collage is what you will learn within a class dynamic that is fun, meaningful and full of play. This will be a great weekend with tons of one-on-on attention and LOTS of laughter, discovery, and creativity. Many techniques will be demonstrated, such as aging tricks, storytelling in collage, hand-stitching and tips to make a great finish. This class will yield lots of complete finished collages as well as exciting breakthroughs and Ah Haa moments.

A creative and “outside the box” approach to ceramic tile mosaics for interior use. Come mix it up with us as we play and experiment with a variety of fun and unexpected mixed media materials. This intensive class, covers mosaic terminology, design, mixed media materials, mosaic surfaces, masking, fixatives, tools and their uses, grouting and finishing. Beginners and advanced students are all welcome to participate. Students are encouraged to bring favorite bits and pieces from home to add to the mix and plenty of creative materials will be provided.

This 4-day workshop is aimed at artists who have taken an introductory level cold wax class, and are now ready for new ideas, a recharge of energy and the opportunity to be with others who love this medium. A major focus of the class is on developing personal style and meaning in abstraction, but will also include new techniques, supplies and tools for working with cold wax. As with the intro class,there will be demos, exercises and plenty of work time. (Pre-requisite: must have taken an introductory level Oil and Wax Workshop or Hot Wax/Cold Wax Workshop.)
