Drop in to experience the joy of working with clay, or come weekly to emerge with a collection of pieces with your own voice. We do ask students under the age of nine to come with a parent.
Ceramics Studio
Year-round | 7 days a week access
$60/month | Glaze and firing fees additional
Those who have taken an Ah Haa ceramics class or have prior clay experience may work in the ceramics studio independently. Each student receives a storage shelf and after-hours access. Please call the Ah Haa School

The ceramic studio is available for all to use on Tuesday evenings throughout the year. Whether you are an experienced ceramic artist or a newbie wanting to hand-build, this shared creative space is sure to inspire you. Drop in to make bowls, a personalized mug, or sculpture. Throwing on the wheel requires experience. Take a private lesson or one of our ceramic courses to gain wheel experience.

Wheel Throwing

The ancient art of throwing clay on the wheel has an irresistible appeal. Beginning potters will find their center and explore forming cylinders and bowls. This class will have daily demos with helpful tips covering basic throwing techniques. The four morning sessions will allow students to explore the art of wheel throwing. Students will be able to glaze their pieces the following Tuesday in Open Studio, or pieces can be glazed for them
for a small fee. All levels welcome.
