Join hiking guide John Sir Jesse and a local chef in this combination mushroom picking and cooking class. Enjoy a guided foray into Telluride’s high country to pick and learn about local fungi. Then transform the day’s pick into a scrumptious main course with a local chef in a private kitchen. Wear hiking shoes and be prepared for weather. Bring paper or cloth bags, snacks, water and your favorite beverage for the evening.

Explore Telluride’s forests and meadows in search of some of the most sought after mushrooms in the world. Identification, folklore, habitat, methods of collecting, preserving and cooking will be discussed. Wear hiking shoes and be prepared for weather! Bring cloth or paper bags, snacks and water.
