Founded in 1990 by book artist Daniel Tucker, the Ah Haa School’s desire is to provide an environment to inspire an “ah haa” (the sound of inspiration) moments for any artist at any age or level of experience. We offer year-round programming for all ages taught by local and national instructors, thought-provoking exhibitions, art abroad programs and visiting artist workshops. Through our umbrella organizations,Telluride Writer’s Guild and American Academy of Bookbinding we offer lectures, workshops and bookbinding, respectively.
Ah Haa School is located in the resort community of Telluride, Colorado. In 2007, Ah Haa School moved from the Silver Bell Building into Telluride’s turn-of-the-century train depot located at 300 South Townsend Avenue. Facilities consist of indoor and outdoor classrooms, gallery space, ceramics studio and administrative offices.
