DESCRIPTION: This summer the Ah Haa has added the Immersion Telluride Art Experience in two mediums; Painting & Photography. Students will have a chance to immerse themselves in creativity without the day to day distractions. Whether you have a few hours, a few days or a few weeks, you will find a class that nurtures your inner artist. Participants in the Immersion Telluride Art Experience come from all walks of life. They range from 18 to 85 years of age and are absolute beginners to professional artists. Some see Ah Haa’s Immersion Art Experience as a productive retreat, some as a source of inspiration for their personal creative lives, and others as a place to exchange information about materials, techniques, and processed. What brings these artist all together is an experience of working with focus in a supportive community atmosphere. “Ah Haa” is the sound of inspiration, surprise, awareness and awakening, the sound of learning new skills, new knowledge, and new experience. The Immersion Art Experience will create and environment where this sound is even more likely to be heard.

This workshop is for digital photographers and will focus on the spectacular autumn landscape around Telluride. SLRs and consumer cameras are welcome. Students will learn all about their camera’s functions and controls in a preliminary classroom session, then go into the field to record beautiful scenic images, returning to the classroom to analyze and critique the work. Bill will demonstrate some clever procedures that, thanks to the digital revolution, remarkably broaden the possibilities of today’s photography.
