Robert Weatherford
Painting from Within & Going Deeper
Coming October 2011
Tuition: $300
Materials: $60
Painting from Within is now expanded. There will be four evenings of exploring the feel of different genres of painting (abstract, still life, floral still life and landscape). The next four sessions will be about how to go deeper with a single genre and make it your own. While appealing to the external senses, a painting can also be a deeply personal and spiritual experience. This class is for students who wish to render their internal landscapes or the movement of their spirit. The class will not focus on the technique of painting, but rather on expressing what is inside. Robert believes that what makes a painting speak to the painter as well as the viewer is honesty-hence they become paintings from the soul, not the intellect. This is a wonderful class for those interested in delving into the spirit of art and is geared to all levels, including those with little or no experience. Come with an open mind, ready to explore a new way of expression. Students will work in acrylics.
