BURLESQUE is a celebration of femininity.  Women of all ages come together for a fun filled journey learning this incredible art form ultimately empowering their creative sensual feminine being. Join artistic director of Telluride Theatre, Sasha Sullivan, Melissa Sumpter (of Durango’s Salt Fire Circus), and our favorite cross dressing performer Sasha Golavenko as they take you on a nine-week journey into the world of burlesque. From dance moves, to taking it all off, character to owning your space… from the boas to the pasties students will develop their very own Burlesque character and walk away with a full Burlesque routine, a set of pasties, and a portrait. At the close of the class, some students will be chosen to perform at BURLESQUE, a live variety show on the stage of the Sheridan Opera House, a benefit for Telluride Theatre! (performing in benefit is not required)
