Abstract Painting with Cold Wax & Oil

In this 3 day workshop, you will explore ways to build up abstract oil paintings in layers, through the use of cold wax medium, tube paint, pigment sticks and powdered pigments. New ways to create textures, lines, and color fields using a wide variety of tools and techniques will be demonstrated and practiced in class. Presentations and resources about abstraction are also included in the workshop. Painting experience is desirable.
Rebecca Crowell has been developing these techniques for the past seven years, and is eager to share what she has learned. Her intention for this workshop is that you will leave fired up with fresh ideas for your own unique direction and ongoing work.
